About Dr. Low

Dr. Julie A. Low

I am a board-certified psychiatrist in private practice in Center City offering psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, and medication management. I have extensive experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD/trauma and stress-related disorders, as well as those who need help navigating general life issues. (e.g. relationship issues, pregnancy and childbirth, grief, professional identity, and retirement).

I received my medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1982 and then did my residency at McLean Hospital of Harvard Medical School and Payne Whitney Clinic, of Cornell University Medical College, where I completed my residency in 1986.

Since my residency, I have worked in private practice and in many hospital settings, including most recently at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, where I was the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services from 2010 to 2023. I am a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, where I have been involved in medical student education and residency training.

I would be happy to talk with you if you would like to learn more about my practice, or to answer any other questions you might have.
